If you too are interested in how to learn Reiki, below, I share what I now know.
First, if you have heard that you have to be taught in person to learn Reiki, that is simply not true. There are very effective methods for how to learn Reiki at home and how to learn Reiki on your own.
There are Reiki books and home study programs through which you can receive Reiki Attunements and learn Reiki at home. Some are better than others, as with anything. I'll tell you about the Reiki Course (offered online via imediatle download for instand learning )that worked for me, but first lets address this notion that you can only learn Reiki in person.
For some people it actually makes most sense to learn Reiki at home, on your own, because home is generally where you are most comortable, relaxed and at ease as opposed to a situation where you have to go to Reiki classes. Some people are just more comoftable in the self-learn environment.
I, along with many others, dislike the fact that some Reiki Masters (who are selling expensive Reiki classes and consultations) insisit that if you want to know how to learn Reiki, you can only learn it through them or others like them - and, its no coincidence that you have to pay them generously, of course.
Learning Reiki is something which should be accessible to anyone who has the genuine desire to learn Reiki. It shouldn't depend on whether you can, in fact, afford to go to expensive Reiki classes, or pay big fees to Reiki Masters. Learning Reiki, and being able to practice Reiki, is a gift that we are given. We all have this gift already insider us, it is completely natural and innate - we just need some guidance on how to use it.
And I don't believe this gift, which enables us to do so much good for the benefit of others, was ever meant to be withled from us because we don't happen to have the ability to come up with enough cash for pricey classes or in-person attunements. Nor will anybody persuade me that this gift ever intended to be reserved only for those who have enough money to shell out for the classes and expensive attunements done in person with Reiki Masters. Learning Reiki should be accessible to anyone, regardless of how much money they can afford to spend. Reiki should never be withheld from those who have the desire to use it for the betterment of others.
If you've already been investigating how to learn Reiki, you may have been led to believe:
* You have to attend the classes of an existing Reiki Master to be attuned to Reiki (false!)
* You must take both a Reiki 1 and a Reiki 2 class before you can be attuned to the level of Reiki Master. (false!)
* You must wait for a certain amount of time between classes before you can move forward with Reiki. (false!)
* And the whole process requires an significant investment of money and a long time. (false!)
Some Reiki teachers even go as far as to tell you that you must undertake a very expensive, very long (twelve month minimum), apprenticeship before you can become a Reiki Master. (false!)
Those beliefs only get in the way of allow you to proceed with healing that needs to be done now. How is that helpful?
In actual fact, Reiki does NOT have to be transferred to you by a Reiki Master during a Reiki attunement, as many will have you believe (often those who are profitng from the process....).
You do NOT have to take three separate levels of Reiki – all you need is one.
It doesnt require a long time, or cost a lot to learn Reiki.
If you want to know how to learn Reiki, here is what you must understand: the only thing a Reiki Master is actually doing for you in person during a 'hands on attunement' is simply 'awakening' your own abilities within you.
You do not need to be "given" Reiki by a Reiki Master (in person, at considerable cost....). You've already got it. Reiki is within you.
All the Reiki Master does during an attunement is awaken the part of you that is already Reiki. But that's actually something you can do for yourself right now - without the huge expense of an in person attunement by a Reiki Master who is charging you a hefty fee, and without the ridiculous amount of time they try to drag it out for (along the way, charging your more fees).
You do not need a Reiki Master to 'transfer' the energy of Reiki to you. Reiki is within all of us; Reiki is a natural part of our own life force energy at all times.
You do not need to spend money and time taking separate Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 classes to learn Reiki - I don't wish to ruffle any feathers here, but that format for how to learn Reiki is just a profit-making venture for those who insist it is the only way to learn Reiki. If you prefer classes, that's fine, but I dont feel people should be led to believe that this is the only way, when its not. I don't believe you should be forced down that road for learning Reiki - when the option is there for you to learn Reiki much more quickly and at must lesser expense if that is your preference.
There is no real need to pay the exorbitant fees being charged for most Reiki classes. Nor do you need to take time off work to travel to a Reiki Master for an attunement or pay for any extras such as travelling expenses, hotel and meal costs.
As every Enlightened Master, Prophet and Mystic has consistently told us throughout history...
"There is nothing you have to seek outside yourself, everything lies within".
Meaning, quite simply...the complete energy of Reiki is already inside you right now.
Anyone can learn Reiki at home, because it begins within yourself.
And in many respects, that's why it may, in fact, actually make most sense for you to attune yourself to Reiki...
Because by doing so you are consciously and subconsciously acknowledging that Reiki is already within you. And there is great power that comes from this realization, knowlege and affirmation.
